Marriage Ceremony Information for Bloomingdale Residents

The Borough of Bloomingdale is pleased to offer the following marriage ceremony options for Bloomingdale residents after a marriage license has been issued.

Ceremony by the Mayor

Upon request, the Mayor is available to officiate marriage ceremonies on Thursday evenings at Borough Hall.

  • Ceremonies are by appointment only.
  • A $100.00 donation to the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter is required in lieu of a ceremony fee.
  • Please contact registrar@bloomingdalenj.net to inquire about availability and scheduling.

Ceremony by the Municipal Judge

The Borough's Municipal Judge, Honorable Dana D'Angelo, is also available to officiate marriage ceremonies.

  • There is no charge for this service.
  • Ceremonies are conducted at Judge D'Angelo's law office in Butler.

Marriage Ceremony Information

A marriage ceremony may only take place after a valid New Jersey marriage license has been issued and the required 72-hour waiting period has been satisfied, unless otherwise waived by law.
