The average combined (water and sewer) residential bill for a single family account is approximately $272.28 per quarter. This estimate is based upon a usage of 19,000 gallons consumption for the quarter.

The Mayor and Council set service charges, following public notice and hearing as required by New Jersey State law, that are fair for both the customer and to fulfill the statutory obligations of the Borough. Charges for utility services cover the cost for billing, collecting, testing, purchasing bulk water, disposal of bulk sewerage and maintaining our infrastructure systems. These charges also include items such as labor, insurance, electricity, facilities, taxes, bonding and interest expenses.

Concerned about an unusually high bill? Give us a call and we’ll help you investigate. In fact, call us if you have any questions at all about your service charges. Please note however, that if you wish to make a formal dispute and/or complaint with regards to your service or billing, it must be made in writing to the department. This is a regulation established by Municipal Ordinance. All customers are entitled to an administrative review and hearing of their formal dispute and/or complaint if they so desire.
