Free Adult Vision Screening MAY 12, 2010-10 AM to 12 Noon. This event is sponsored by the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired in partnership with the Borough of Bloomingdale Health Department.

Vision tests will be conducted at the Bloomingdale Firemen's Hall, located at 97 Hamburg Turnpike Bloomingdale, New Jersey 07403.

The screeners, trained by the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired will be conducting two types of tests on individuals 18 years of age or older.

The first assessment is a distance visual acuity test to check if there is a need for glasses and if the individual wers glasses, a determination if the glasses are working effectively.

The second test is for the early detection of glaucoma without the use of eye drops.
