The Property Tax Reimbursement Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax increases. The amount of the reimbursement is based on a calculation set by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury.

Participants must meet all the eligibility requirements for the initial year, and for every succeeding year, to qualify for the reimbursement. See the the New Jersey Department of the Treasury web site for more information.

Residents who receive homestead rebates and/or property tax credits or deductions may also receive the property tax reimbursement if they meet the eligibility requirements with some restrictions. Please review the information on the the New Jersey Department of the Treasury for details.
